The Worcester County Kennel Club, Inc. was founded in the late 1800s.
In 1927, the by-laws were adopted and the Worcester County Kennel Club, Inc. became a MEMBER CLUB of the American Kennel Club.
Since then, WCKC has been proud to be in partnership with the AKC and the community in promotion and protection of purebred dogs.
Club membership is comprised of Worcester County residents who exhibit in conformation shows, field trials, hunting tests, therapy work, obedience trials, and performance events.
Many club members have had long-term involvement with the dog world through competition with their dogs and are always ready and willing to mentor new participants.
The membership roster includes licensed AKC judges, breeders, and exhibitors, as well as those people who simply enjoy their dogs as pets.
Some of our members participate in school, nursing home, and hospital visits with their dogs, to brighten the days of the people living, learning and working in such facilities.
This endeavor is strongly encouraged and supported by the WCKC.
